Lomax Clubtour Radio 1

December 11, 2011

Halfway through the Lomax Theatre Tour, while cleaning our attic, this little soundsnippet fell out of a dusty trunk… an excellent 6 minute review of the Lomax Clubtour on national Radio 1 (auf niederländisch).

There’s a nice introduction to Alan Lomax and his legacy, a glowing Roland performing Lead Belly and a Golden review of the Glows.

Theatre Tour has five more stops in January 2012.

The Golden Songbook #100

November 1, 2011

On 1.11.11, interestingly enough, we added the 100th song to The Golden Songbook, our mother playlist. Yep, there’s a 100 titles in the book and we do play them all…*

Puttin’ On The Ritz, the Irvin Berlin 1928 classic, came in at #98 and will be a dazzlingly syncopated highlight in A Songbook from the 20′s.

#99, a new but kinda old Glows original, is a featherlight, yet deviously profound, Black & Blue. Dreamy lyric, blue note galore, perfect opener for The Songbook of Blues.

#100 is, of course, Afterglow. The soundtrack to our little piece of cinema. Very much in production as we speak.

(* In various shapes, sizes and numbers of mistakes…)
